We envision the community to be a place where youth and families can gather for a meal, and also provide extracurricular activities such as crafts, games, sports, dance and music in a safe environment.
Turn 180 After School Program
The After School Program exists to provide safe space for children and youth between school and evening activities. Participant gain access to healthy food and physical activities, educational enrichment and opportunities to grow with peer and adult mentors.
Gym Time
Our partner’s Farnsworth’s Lower Campus is located across the street from First Covenant. They have opened up there gym for our participants to use as a part of this program.
Homework Help and Reading Support
Each young person gets focused attention on building reading and academic skills in our homework and reading rooms with dedicated tutors.
Summer Camps
Family Values for Life partners with St. Paul Parks and Recreation, Clyde Turner Basketball Camp (PACE), First Covenant Church, St. Paul Police, Sannah Soccer Camp, St. Paul Public Schools to provide camps, educational, fun activities throughout the summer. Loaves and Fishes provides a meal during each of these camp. Each camp is ends with a family celebration.
Support Groups
This is a safe place where youth are known, cared for & encouraged. These opportunities for 7th-12th graders let them build this small group community together.
Theater and Vocal Coaching
7th-12th graders will have the opportunity to participate in a youth musical this winter: Beauty And The Beast. These coaching opportunities provide a place for youth to improve their skills for their role in the musical.
