Jump Start To The New You provides free workshops that teach essential life skills to women. These workshops inspire women of all ages to improve life situations in all four pillars: physical, mental, spiritual and financial. The Jump Start To The New You programs focus on connecting women to community resources, which in turn results in women feeling more confident to reach out for services beyond the provided workshops. Jump Start To The New You builds community; creating a community of women, or “sisterhood,” that supports individuals as they make changes in their lives.
Jump Start To The New You began in 2012 to encourage women to set goals that would lead to positive life choices and direct action towards the completion of their goals. Our first annual Jump Start To The New You Post- Holiday Tea was held in January 2012. The month following, we held a series of workshops on Physical Fitness, Nutrition, Spiritual Empowerment, Mental Alertness and Financial Security. In the fall of 2014, we expanded the program to 12 workshops. We currently offer 34 workshops, which are now held over the course of the school year. The workshops focus on giving women the necessary information and skills to improve physically, emotionally and financially.
Jump Start To The New You workshops are presented by professionals in their fields and are structured to empower our participants to improve their quality of life.

Since starting the program in 2012, we have helped participants find better housing, and gain mental, spiritual, and financial stability. In addition, several have found steady employment, and others are pursuing higher education. Although each woman is at a different place in her own personal journey, all of our participants have found the Jump Start To The New You program to be a beacon of light in an ever-changing world.
