Every year, the General Mills Foundation and UNCF host an annual MLK Holiday Breakfast at the Minneapolis Convention Center* in honor of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. In addition, Interfaith Action of Greater Saint Paul hosts breakfasts at nine neighborhood locations, which feature a hot breakfast and local programming, as well as a live broadcast of the event at the Convention Center.
This year, Family Values For Life is cohosting the MLK Breakfast for the East Side of St. Paul location. The breakfast will be held on Monday, January 18th from 7:00am-9:30am at First Covenant Church (1280 Arcade St., St. Paul, MN 55106). The theme of the 2016 MLK Breakfast is “Civil and Right, Are You Living The Dream?”
Tickets for the MLK Breakfast cost $5 per adult. Children 12 years of age and under can attend for free. Registration is available online at http://interfaithaction.org/mlk. All participants MUST register, including children 12 and under. To register for the breakfast at First Covenant, select the registration link for the “East Side/Downtown St. Paul” option.
There will be a free will offering at the breakfast. MLK t-shirts will also be available to purchase for $10 each, please pay for the shirts with cash or check only, as there will not be any credit card capability.
*Governor Deal Patrick (Massachusetts) will be the keynote speaker at the Convention Center location.
